I attended the local Association of Business Management Professionals (ABPMP) meeting in Denver on February 11, and learned that the ABPMP has created a new certification program. ABPMP is looking to become on of the leading organizations for certifying professionals in Business Process Management. The Association of Business Process Management Professionals International is a independent professional organization dedicated to the advancement of BPM best practices, standards and advancements. ABPMP is a vendor agnotistic non-profit organization.

The accreditation program awards professionals with a Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP). The certification is base on real life exposure and ABPMP’s BPM Common Body of Knowledge (CBOK).

The Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP™) program will evaluate an individual’s knowledge and experience based on a rigorous examination and an assessment of work history and education. The Certification program is designed to promote the various competencies and expertise across the disciplines of the business process management profession.

Experience Pre-Requisites

  • 4 Years of Documented Process management, Process improvement, or Process transformation experience experience and qualifications
  • References
  • Graduate degree, 6 months credit
  • Other Professional Certification, e.g., PMP, CBAP 6 months credit

Cost

  • $400 for members, $550 for non-ALBPMP
  • Renewal every 3 years $75
